Today would be a busy day as we wanted to photograph both the Cucumber Falls and the Sugar Run Falls.  The first would be rather easy as it is located conveniently off of a main road.  Sugar Run Falls however is quite an elusive target, or so it seemed.  We tried the day before without any success, but we were determined to give it another try.   We had the general idea of where it might be after about a one hour hike, but once in the vicinity the only clue was to stop and listen for the rush of water.  Unfortunately at this time of year there is not much of a "rush".  We thought we eventually had found it but later discovered what we found was a well  hidden cascade amongst very thick brush and Mountain Laurel at the bottom of a moderately steep ravine.  See the link at the bottom of this page for a view of the "real" Sugar Run Falls!
